Derived from the Dutch for “children” and “bicycle,” a Kinderfeets is a wooden push bike designed to ease the transition to pedal-powered bicycle at a toddler’s comfort level.
Dutch designer Oscar Mulder decided to create his own balance bike for his son, Sebastiaan.
Oscar wanted Sebastiaan to be able to cruise once he became confident enough, so he broke the push bike mold and added footpegs. Knowing kids love to get dirty, he added a removable seat cover that can go in the wash with the rest of the laundry. Other push bikes have inflatable tires that go flat, interrupting the fun. But Kinderfeets’ tires don’t require air.
Designed for "tiny tots" ages 12 to 24 months, Kinderfeets Tiny Tot starts off as a tricycle and when ready it easily converts into a 2-wheel balance bike.
It's the smallest 2-in-1 balance bike on the market!
One-year-olds can start with the Tiny Tot as a trike. With three wheels they can easily start to learn how to use their feet to get moving. When a parent feels their child is ready, the Tiny Tot easily converts from a trike to a 2-wheel balance bike.
The Low step-through frame places children's feet closer to the ground so they feel safe. The 7-inch tires are extra wide base, great for driving comfort and easy balance. The tires are made of biodegradable rubber. The riding experience is similar to that of a pneumatic tire, but without flats.
Two for the price of one, the Kinderfeets Tiny Tots 2 in 1 Balance Bike is not only great bang for your buck, it’s also the perfect solution for tiny tots wanting to get in on some wheely awesome fun!

How to ride a balance bike
Sitting on the Kinderfeets, kids first walk the bike forward. As they go faster, they stride with feet off the ground for longer periods of time, ultimately being able to pull both feet off the ground and coast with their feet on the pedals.
At first, they tilt to one side or the other and their feet catch them like training wheels. Very quickly, balance becomes second nature and they can coast with their feet on the pedals. Braking is done by putting both feet down to stop.

Purchased for my son's 1st birthday. Great quality. Easy to assemble. Exceptional customer service. Bike was sent promptly but was stuck in transit with Aus Post. Seller sent another bike by express post at no extra cost whilst waiting for issue with bike originally sent to be resolved. One very appreciative mummy.
